Happy Sunday! Let's get weird.

Good morning you lovely Cinnamon-breasted-tit!

I imagine it's both too early and I'm too old for cheap and raunchy bird humor, but here we are. Also, I noticed my Grammy signed-up for my newsletter so... hey Grammy!

My anxiety has been acting up lately, but one thing I've found helpful for some reason is nature documentaries (one of the reasons could be because Tom Hiddleston narrates some of them and um hi read the dictionary to me). The documentaries then led me to get very VERY lost in an ADHD spiral down an internet rabbit hole discovering some of the really fucking cool birds out there (see cinnamon-breasted-tit above)???

First and foremost, may I present, the gal with the soft pink pastel belly and perfect brows: the white-browed tit warbler. I'll take five, thnx.  

Second, the elusive South Philippine dwarf kingfisher. That beak! That purple! Work.

Finally, and less flamboyantly pink: the sooty bushtit. Now, I’ll be real, this one made the list mainly because I keep reading that name as Scooby bullshit and even typing it I accidentally wrote scooter butshit,

Okay, so, enough about birds. Here's all the other stuff I've been obsessing over lately:

The TV and Music 📺🎶 

I am a big Peaky Blinders fan. It's one of those shows where the entire time I'm watching it, I'm asking myself, is that guy hot or does he just have an accent? But one of the dopest things about the show besides the stellar costuming and gritty, atmospheric shooting is the intro song. 
Red Right Hand by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds makes me feel like an absolute bad ass as I blast it and walk to work. 

Here's the other thing about this show: Cillian Murphy. This man's face can only be described as toight toight toight. The pythagorean theorem was actually created off of Cillian's cheekbones. He doesn't need a letter opener, he just runs an envelope over his jaw and the paper is sliced to ribbons.

In the show he also has a haircut that, for all intents and purposes, should look a dead squirrel found it's final resting place on top of his head but somehow he makes it work?? The power this man has. 

The Cats 🐈‍⬛

Yaya and Zadie have been more destructive than usual, which is really saying something. I had one safe spot in my apartment. ONE. One single shelf I could place things that my cats couldn't get to and it was where I stored my most valuable possessions.

Well, guess who figured out how to get up there? Zadie. This five pound agent of chaos is now an apex predator of the items I hold dear. Trinkets? Knocked off. Important papers? Chewed to confetti. My dignity? Well, I lost that somewhere around 2018.

Yaya has decided her new thing is to make a great escape. She now darts from the apartment the second I open the door and walks around the hallway like she owns the damn place. Good for her. Embrace your power, Yaya, just please stop chewing my charging chords in half. 

The Books 📚 

MY COVER WAS REVEALED AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH MY HEART IS FIT TO BURST.
