Hi, sweet lovely one!
Me at the beginning of 2025: I’m going to be consistent with my newsletter and put it out every two weeks to build community!
Me halfway through 2025 with an average of 12 weeks between newsletters:
In my defense, life has been very intense and busy for my other career as a dentist. I’ve been sitting on this news for nearly four months now, but I bought a dental practice! This is by far the most terrifying and consuming endeavor I’ve ever undertaken, but it is the definition of a labor or love. I’ve realized recently that giving care is what provides me with purpose—whether it’s through written words or services—and this practice is the grand manifestation of that. At a time when all facets of healthcare are inaccessible to so many, it is my dream and my intention to provide compassion and care to those often deprioritized and be a happy, welcoming space, especially for marginalized groups.
In other milestone event news, I turned 30! My husband threw me a surprise party (I’ve always wanted one and I had absolutely zero clue it was coming and I loved it) and he had everyone where T-shirts with my face on them so needless to say I was insufferable the entire night. And then the loml and bestie came and visited me and witnessed my first mental breakdown of my 30s so all in all a very special week of celebrating.

I devoured my twenties but I am so glad to be done with them. I’ve thought about age and womanhood and all that existential bullshit a lot over the past few months, and maybe in the future I’ll share some of my feelings and ramblings on it (or I’ll be kind and spare you, we’ll see what the wind brings) but all I know is I feel more solidified in my sense of self than I ever have before, and I hope it only grows from there.
Book Stuff
I’m heading to Knoxville, TN this weekend for A Meet (& Greet) Cute! Saturday, June 21st I’ll be signing and selling books and giving away some Well, Actually themed stickers! I’m in Hall 2 next to the help desk (which I’m sure I’ll need because I’m generally pretty helpless in an auditorium with a lot of complex sounds).
I’m very late in promoting this but the Late Bloomer ebook is on sale for $3.99 through June at all retailers! If you need a light and fluffy rom-com centered on sapphic joy, I think this will do the trick!
Last but not least, I’m thrilled to reveal the Well, Actually pre-order incentive!!! The sensational Jenny Richardson created this perfect stepback illustration of Eva + Rylie and the way I GASPED when I first saw it genuinely alarmed people at work. Working with Jenny was a dream. I explained I wanted the artwork to be an homage to classic romance clinch stepbacks (event sent her a pinterest board of my favs) and she delivered 100x over. Eva’s heels! Rylie clutching his glasses! The way they’re both just so absurdly hot!!!!! To get your own copy of the artwork, preorder from Malaprop’s and/or Novel Neighbor! You’ll also get some amazing stickers thrown is (specific to which store you buy from) designed by the outrageously talented Amber D’Ambrosio.
