Book Recs

Okay so I finished The Last Tale of the Flower Bride by Roshani Chokshi and OH MY GOD?? THAT PROSE??? Like seriously some of the most beautiful usage of language that I have ever read. The craft of this book blew my mind and I can’t recommend it enough.

I’m currently about halfway through The Rachel Incident and I am having an absolute blast. These characters are so messy and chaotic and truly hilarious. It’s a magnificent portrayal of being a woman in your early twenties and being obsessed and in love with every person you meet. Can’t wait to see how it wraps up.

Finally, I read an early copy of A Risk Worth Taking by Jessica Joyce and good god if she wasn’t such an outstandingly lovely person, I would despise her for her talent. In just under 80ish pages Joyce had me out of my mind obsessed with this couple. It’s a holiday novellette, one-night-stand that gets snowed in for the weekend and I ate this shit UP. The perfect scrumptious treat to kick off holiday romance season.
