Hi, sweet pumpkins,
Long time no chat! I live in Western North Carolina and Hurricane Helene really did a number on my community. It’s been a rollercoaster that I’m not ready to unpack yet (20 days without running water and 33 days and counting without potable running water really puts life into perspective) but my family and loved ones are safe, and I’m so incredibly grateful for that.
Because Helene mixed up pretty much everything, we had to reschedule my segment of Wake County Public Library’s amazing Write Here, Write Now program.
My presentation on writing dialogue is now happening Wednesday, October 30th at 6:30pm EST! This if a free, virtual course open to all, so sign up here!
On a separate note, there’s an amazing auction going on called Lit for Lebanon, and the proceeds go to Threads of Peace, an organization that helps displaces peoples in Lebanon get basic necessities.
