THE PLUS ONE is coming and I have no chill

Hi my love!

I hope you’re hanging in there. 2023 has started off as one of my worst yet and I firmly believe it can only go up from here! *aggressively laughs to avoid sobbing*

We are officially one month away from my third book, The Plus One, hitting shelves, and I’m a flurry of emotions, the biggest being excitement and the second biggest being fear. Putting work out there is a vulnerable thing, and it’s hard not to feel protective of my characters and wanting to shield them from the world. To quote my idol, Tanya McQuoid, “I’m a very needy person, and I am deeply, deeply insecure.” 💖

Jude and Indira in particular are my most vulnerable characters yet, their story a labor of love that required me to dig deeper than I have before. I knew while writing it that their journey wouldn’t be for everyone—big, messy feelings and broken pieces often aren’t—but I’m so proud of this book and have reached a point where I do feel ready to let them go. All I can say is I hope you love them even a fraction of how much I do!

Okay okay okay sorry to come in hot with the emotions, let’s get to fun stuff!

I’m also delighted to say that I’m going on a tour of sorts! I get to talk to some of my favorite authors (and people) at

amazing bookstores in the country, and I can’t stop pinching myself.

The first event coming up very well might be a landmark moment of fangirling for me. Not only am I going to see Taylor Swift in concert on March 24 in Las Vegas, but I then get to talk all things romance the next morning with Christina Lauren, Ali Hazelwood, Susan Lee, Nisha Sharma, and Katie Shepard at The Writer’s Block in Vegas.  I will also being doing some virtual events as well as in-person ones in New York, Washington D.C., Asheville, and Greenville! My April 18th virtual event with Rediscovered Books will be in conversation with Joe Arden, the narrator for Jude’s character (and sooooo many other amazing and swoony performances) and I am beyond excited to learn more about what it’s like to narrate romance novels (especially those steamy scenes 👀).
