I just finished up THE SOUTHERN BOOK CLUB'S GUIDE TO SLAYING VAMPIRES and it was very clever but there was a part 2/3s in that I could have really used a CW for. Just started HOME IS WHERE THE BODIES ARE and it's a slow build right now but showing lots of promise. I think I'm just constantly chasing the high that MEXICAN GOTHIC gave me (my favorite book)
I loved southern book clubs but there was an attic part where she's hiding that made me 😖. My favs are Darcy Coates and Rachel Harrison! Haunting of Ashburn House is a great one and has an amazing cat as a character! Also the Whispering Dead by Darcy has great characters and another cat! Rachel Harrison's Cackle and Such Sharp Teeth are also amazing! I highly recommend! I hope you find something great! :))
